About Zoe Nauman
Zoe Nauman has been a writer for over 25 years and has worked as a celebrity journalist and editor for the most successful and well-known publications in the world.
She has been lucky enough to interview some of the biggest stars on the planet, including Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, and Dame Judi Dench. Zoe is also an accomplished feature writer, having done undercover investigations, exposes, and first-person pieces. She has contributed articles to the highest-selling newspapers in the UK, Australia, and the US, as well as working for the biggest website in the world.
Working and living on three different continents has given Zoe a unique perspective on storytelling and communication. Even when people speak the same language, their interpretations can be completely different.
Zoe moved to Australia from the UK in 2008 – a country she had never even visited on the other side of the planet from where she grew up. It was an exciting and daunting experience. She worked in women’s magazine publishing and TV as an editor. It allowed her to learn how to tell stories within the constructs of different written frameworks.
In 2013, Zoe moved to help set up the Australian arm of the largest website in the world – Dailymail.com, which has over 300 million unique users a month.
In 2015, she moved to Los Angeles and started educating business owners on using their personal stories uniquely and authentically through copywriting. This allowed her to tour the US as a speaker. With her company, Media Content Guru, Zoe had clients worldwide, including the UAE and India, as well as America, Canada, and Israel.
Zoe has had the privilege of speaking to international audiences at leading colleges in the US, including UCLA, about her journey and career.
However, she kept being drawn back to fictional writing. Zoe wrote her first children’s book aged 14 but went on to focus on a career in print and TV journalism. In 2016 she decided to return to her first love: writing fiction for children and teens.
Now Zoe’s passion is educating the leaders of today and tomorrow on how to write great books. Her mission is to demonstrate how children can use literature to confront their problems and overcome their struggles, whether they are reading or writing it.
When she is not working, she is most likely training for marathons, walking her three chihuahuas, Poco, Chika, and Enzo, on the beach, hiking, or enjoying good food and wine with her husband.
